Residential Lease Agreement
A residential lease agreement governs the rights and obligations of the landlord and tenant throughout the tenancy. It defines the rent amount and advance payments, rules for rent adjustments, the condition of the flat on handover, permitted alterations and the procedure for damages. A handover protocol is part of the agreement.

Frequently asked questions
The law does not cap the deposit amount, but in practice it ranges between 1–3 months' rent. The landlord must return it at the end of the tenancy, reduced by proven claims.
